Welcome to my website. It's permanently under construction & will probably never be brought up to date. Hundreds of songs have been recorded at various stages of completion, no wonder the piles of lyric sheets, tapes, cassettes and mini discs are a logistic nightmare. Filing constantly evolving material in sensible order on a home made website is a daunting task. Apologies if things look pear shaped on your system. Try full screen....(On-Off with your F11 key)
The WWW is bursting with songwriting sites which have one prime objective: To get their hands on your dosh. They would like to be paid for their opinion of your work. It would be one thing if Simon Cowell or Pete Waterman charged you for expert advice, but many of these suckers are anonymous nobodys who blatantly claim to have magic tricks up their sleeves to get deals. Others charge for entering a "songwriting competition with a prize". Some sites promise to sell your CDs for a commission fee of several US$ a piece. The first thing they ask is for you to send them 5 CDs and 25 US$. You stand a better of chance of success buying a lottery ticket. What about the live music venues, where you pay to play and your guests will also have to pay to see you ? If you're lucky and pull a big crowd you might receive a tiny percentage of the bar's takings above a set level. There is no limit to the gullibility of many musicians and writers. Don't be fooled. Can you think of a product where a designer, having covered all development costs, is expected to pay marketing agents or manufacturers to simply take a look at the finished prototype ?
